I came across this Spring 2013 concept video for a line called Wren on Style.com. Thinking about it now, I think I've heard of this designer before. The mind behind the madness is Melissa Coker, who has worked at the likes of Helmut Lang, Vogue, W and Details magazines. She grew up in Lake Forest, Illinois, a small town the F. Scott Fitzgerald used as his inspiration to write The Great Gatsby. When I watched this video, I felt butterflies in my stomach. Watching these girls gave me such a fun and lighthearted feeling that I wanted to watch the video over and over again. The girls in the video embody a lifestyle that I yearn to live- fun, hip, partying going in one of the most chic cities of all time, Paris! I want to be these girls and I feel like they convey a really cool message that challenges gender roles in our society. I think it shows how different European and American societies are. I also like the fact that the characters never speak, yet their thoughts are written across the bottom of the screen. P.S. I'm now obsessed with Wren's designs...

Love this video! Great choice. I love fashion videos, like Wren's, that are fun and quirky. The concept for this video was really interesting, and now I can't wait to check out some of her designs!
